Chris Hackett Continues To Show Strong Fundraising Numbers

Dallas, PA – Republican Congressional candidate Chris Hackett's campaign continues to gather momentum as his newly-released fundraising totals establish him as one of the most successful challenger candidates in the nation after only four months of active campaigning.

Chris Hackett's campaign today announced it will report over $386,000 cash on hand as of the December 31, 2007 filing deadline. At the same point in the 2006 election cycle, Congressman Chris Carney's campaign reported less than $63,000 in the bank.

For the four months of his campaign to date leading up to the December 31 reporting deadline, Hackett raised a total $470,849, spent a total of $84,043, and retained $386,806 in cash.

"Ramah and I continue to be grateful for the outpouring of support from citizens, business leaders, and grassroots activists from Northeast and North Central Pennsylvania," said Chris Hackett. "For the last four months, I have campaigned on the message that Washington is broken and that Chris Carney has become just another player in the pork-spending game rather than fighting for meaningful reform. Our fundraising results show that my promise to go to Washington and be a leader in fighting against tax-and spend politics and for the security of our families is resonating in our conservative district."

Yesterday, Hackett announced that he received endorsements from the conservative economic and pro-family groups Associated Builders and Contractors, Concerned Women for America PAC, and Pennsylvania Eagle Forum.
