Carney Sides with Washington Liberals Against Efforts to Reduce Gas Prices
Dallas, PA – It was announced today that the Sierra Club, a liberal Washington, DC special interest group will be sponsoring a series of ads supporting Chris Carney and his opposition to domestic exploration of natural resources. Despite soaring gas prices which have impacted nearly every sector of the U.S. economy, Chris Carney still sides with these liberal D.C. interest groups over the interests of the people of the 10th District.
Chris Hackett supports the exploration of domestic energy reserves. While Carney is focusing on pleasing special interest groups in Washington, Chris Hackett focuses on a strategy that will benefit the people of northeastern Pennsylvania and America. Along with supporting alternative energy sources, with his support of domestic exploration, Chris Hackett aims to remedy the gas price crisis and make life easier for working families.
By contrast, the Sierra Club has consistently stood for higher gas prices through taxation and decreased supply in order to change the driving habits of Americans.
“Chris Carney has repeatedly stood against domestic oil exploration and is beholden to the liberal special interests in Washington who want higher gas prices. I will stand with taxpayers and always support commonsense ways to increase our domestic exploration. We need to hold oil companies and liberal special interest groups accountable,” said congressional candidate Chris Hackett. “Chris Carney’s total failure on this issue is astounding considering his rhetoric on it. His actions don’t match his words.”
